Legit 1) Blue Roses - Blue Roses: This album is simply amazing, and after seeing her last week at Great Scott, this was a given. The show made me remember seeing The Frames at the Somerville Theatre a few years ago. At one point Glen Hansard said something to the effect of "we're real ly excited to be here, I remember playing a bunch of small Irish pubs here in Boston, who was there?" and about 20-30 or so lone voices amongst the crowd began to cheer. The rest of the crowd was overcome with jealously of being able to see The Frames in an intimate venue. Seeing Blue Roses at Great Scott, I felt like one of the people who had seen The Frames up close and personal years back. Hopefully she'll come back to Boston soon, but don't be surprised if it's at a much larger venue.
